Dear Velocity Community,

We are following public health recommendations released by King County regarding COVID-19. We aim to be supportive and adaptive in these times, and are committed to prioritizing the health of our staff, volunteers, faculty, students, and all of our community members.

As of today, King County has not mandated public closures or cancellations, and as such, some of our programming will proceed as planned. However, we are currently assessing Velocity programs and events on a case-by-case basis.

Please note the following updates around Velocity programs.

1. Classes: This week, the following classes are cancelled:

-Kiki Sessions (Mondays)
-Beginning Hip Hop Chore (Tuesdays)
-Commercial Jazz Funk (Saturdays)

2. Rehearsal rentals:

–Our studios remain open to those community members who have rented space for rehearsals. If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to re-schedule your rental for another time. Please email Shirley Wong at operations@velocitydancecenter.org if you are having difficulty re-scheduling your rental space.

Any additional schedule changes will be announced through social media, our website, and notifications to registered students and ticketholders by e-mail.

Finally, for those of you who are planning to come into the Velocity space, we encourage you to wash your hands frequently, and to stay home if you do not feel well. Our staff is routinely cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, handles,  bathroom fixtures, and shared computers and gear.
