The West Coast premiere of this award-winning work trio in a shared evening with Velocity’s 2018 Made in Seattle artist Kim Lusk.

A trio confronts the seductiveness of classifying, ordering and structuring, while attempting to hold onto the character of the unnameable, vulnerable, and imaginable.  Kotze received a prestigious New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award for Outstanding Emerging Choreographer for this work:  a site responsive piece drawing from Kotze’s background in architecture and performed by an acclaimed trio Raja Feather Kelly (Princess Grace Awardee), Netta Yerushalmy, (Guggenheim Fellowship in Choreography) and Kotze. Playing with ideas of performance, intimacy and space in our digital age, the dancers breathe, sweat, stomp, clap and dance in close proximity to the audience; their physicality and vulnerability viscerally felt.

It happened is in a shared evening with Velocity’s 2018 Made in Seattle artist Kim Lusk. Get a first look at the first evening-length work this fast-rising Seattle choreographer.  Packed with Lusk’s signature “gut-busting parody”, dry humor, and physical virtuosity the work premieres March 9-11, 2018.
