Velocity is dedicated to mentoring and supporting the next generation of art administrators. Velocity offers internships in Development, Programming, Office Administration, Communications, Design, Tech, Video and Social Media.

Development and Database Management Internship

Work/Study Scholarship Program


Velocity’s Work/Study Scholarship program provides financial aid to dedicated students with opportunities to take class no matter what their financial means. Our program requires 4-5 hours a week, and consists of cleaning our facilities. We ask that all work study applicants commit to the program for at least 3 months. This is not a volunteer position and Work-Study applicants must be able to demonstrate respect, reliability and accountability. In exchange, Work/Study Scholarship students receive discounted dance training and study space.

WORK/STUDY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: STRICTLY SEATTLE + SFDI

 

Velocity’s Summer Work/Study Scholarship program provides financial aid to dedicated participants taking part in Strictly Seattle and Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation (SFDI). Work/Study recipients work a total of 12-15 hours during the festival, checking in classes and providing facility upkeep. This is not a volunteer position and applicants must be able to demonstrate respect, reliability and accountability. In exchange, Work/Study Scholarship participants receive partial scholarships to one or both summer festivals. Awards are given based on merit and demonstrated financial need.

SFDI – Work/Study participants are vital part of the SFDI community during the festival. They are an integral part of the check in and support structure for each intensive and event, and help us keep our facilities clean and safe.
